Palmera beach is the closest to Perlora and we get there walking along the promenade that leads to Candás. It has good sand, plenty of space (with low tide) and all kind of services: lifeguard, showers. In summer we recommend an ice-cream from the local producer that places a van near the beach entrance. Don´t miss “turrón ice cream”!!
Following the coastal trail surrounding Candás, we get to the lighthouse and to Rebolleres beach. This is a peeble beach with a difficult access; few people visit it. It is an ideal place to go fishing or snorkling.
In the oppossite direction (east), within “Perlora ciudad residencial”, we find Huelgues beach, 15 mns walking from the apartmenmts. It is a very cosy beach, with plenty of rocks, ideal to interact with crabs, prawns and baby fish. It has lifeguard service in summer, a barbecue area and a summer bar.
Playa de Carranques Playa de Huelgues Senda Norte y playa del Tranqueru
Carranques beach is 30 mns away from the apartments following the central streets of Perlora ciudad residencial. It is a wide beach with lifeguard service in summer, a large picnic and barbecue area and a summer bar. Next to the beach there is a car park where the coastal trail to Xivares begins. The trail takes us to Tranqueru beach and to Xivares beach. The access to Tranqueru beach is narrow and steep. There is no lifeguard service, there are very few people and it is one of our favourite swims with a calm sea. The trail ends in Xivares beach, the largest in the surroundings, a very open beach, with showers, the best beach bar in the area and lifeguard services. It is more or less an hour walk from the apartments.
